my brother is turning 12 this month and I don't know if he would like sea monkeys or triops but I'm afraid the sea monkeys would be too boring or the triops would scare him. please post your opinion.

Triops shedding its skin
I managed to catch on video one of my triops hatching out of it's old skin …
Triops: Why aren’t you supposed to add the sand until the 3rd wk?
Why are you not supposed to add the sand untill the third week? It says it in instruction manuals.
I read on a website that you can add the sand before they hatch, and mine hatched just fine.

Placed the thermometer strip on the inside of the Triops kit tank. Can I move it without harming my Triops?
My Triops are 3 days old, and I ‘dummly’ put the thermometer strip on the inside of the tank instead of the outside thinking it had to touch the water. But now it doesn’t have any color at all. Do I move it? And will this risk my triops. If it does I won’t do it. I don’t to risk it. So far i’m doing great. I’ve got like 8 alive. From 11 eggs.
