i just got triops 4 days ago and i have them in a gallon of water. is this enough for more than one to grow into adulthood or will one eat all the rest?

Identifying Sea Creature from North Carolina?

It was on the beach in Nag’s head scuttling for the ocean. It was about the size of a baby sea turtle. It had a hard pink exoskeleton that was mottled pink with darker pink spots. It had what appeared to be insect-like legs similar to those of a triops. It had trouble rolling over when the waves knocked it on it’s back. From the distance, it looked like a baby sea turtle, but up close it looked more like a horse-shoe crab or something. It had no tail or anything.
The creature was definitely not a crab of any time. It was more insect like.
