so 6 days ago, i bought “triop park” and i used spring water and put a light bolb to keep it warm ( turned it of at night ) on the 4th day i couldnt see anything but i added food and more eggs, now its the 6th day, still see nothing so i got the gate seperating the “nusery” from the tank out and added more eggs
I got this swamp monster triop tank for my birthday and i set it up, filled it with nestle pure life water, heated the tank up to 22 degrees Celsius -what the instructions said- and then placed the eggs in. Its been 2 days now and nothings happened or changed. Help please?
Triops swimming around in my hatching tank. These are Black Beauty sp. Triops that I hatched from eggs last week. They grow very quickly, the first couple days they were about the size of a few grains of sand! Now the triops are starting to turn a darker color, they were pale-white the first couple days. Black Beauty Triops need a higher temperature then most other species, I keep the water around 82 F. I’m feeding them some shrimp pellets, and also some stale crackers, though you can pretty much feed triops anything organic. every day is a birthday: my 74 days old triops “Cindy”
One of my Triops sheds its exoskeleton and, unfortunately, all of the eggs in its egg pouches :{ You can see a bunch of the eggs getting sucked right into the filter. :/ I immediately unplugged the filter and managed to salvage some of the eggs that were still stuck to the exoskeleton, but most of them were lost. Yes, that is the Cowboys-Eagles playoffs game in the background. Yes, the Cowboys destroyed the Eagles. And yes, that is me whispering “No, no, no, no,” in horror at 0:22.
