can you use a normal light to hatch triops?

I just got triop eggs and was going to hatch then my brother says you need a office lamp that points down is this true. Im going to use a heater for heat so I only need the light to hatch them and the light I have is very bright.

can i use a fish tank heater instead of a lamp to use to hatch triops?

Help on hatching/raising triops?

Getting some triops, I know they get about two inches, I’ve got a 5 gallon tank for them, I’ve got a heater I will be using when they get older (It’s a spare fish tank one) and I’ve got loads of live plants I could spare for them. Can get sand for the bottom, but when I first hatch them, should I add about a gallon of water? Leave it for a day or so, then add the eggs? Also, once they’ve laid the eggs and died. What do you do with the eggs? Will they just hatch in the water?

Thanks

Aquarium heater for a 10 gallon tank?

hi, i am new to setting up aquariums and for my first aquarium i was going to raise Triops.

since it is winter here where i live, my room can get down to 60 degrees F, which is unsuitable for triops as they need about 70-80F.

i found the 50 WATT VISI-THERM STEALTH SUBMERSIBLE HEATER which i guess is good for my 10 gallon tank.

can i just stick it in the water, on the side of the tank? or do i need to do something different?

Im just kinda frightened that my little triops will swim too close to the heater and get fried! hahaha

thankyou!

would a small heater be okay for Triops?

I know you need to keep the water kind of warm, but most of the instructions I’ve found say leave a lamp on 24 hours. Since I do plan to sleep at some point, I am wondering if a small heater would be okay, or would it make the water too warm.
