i hatched triops but a week later i noticed that there is MILLONS of something else in there. not sure what they are they look like the triops but are not…i can barely even find triops anymore because there is so may of these things and they look like them what are they……wil y triops eat them are they brine shrimp or something….i am just wondering because my triops are not groing very fast unlike most people that i have seen PLEASE HELP

Triops swimming around in my hatching tank. These are Black Beauty sp. Triops that I hatched from eggs last week. They grow very quickly, the first couple days they were about the size of a few grains of sand! Now the triops are starting to turn a darker color, they were pale-white the first couple days. Black Beauty Triops need a higher temperature then most other species, I keep the water around 82 F. I’m feeding them some shrimp pellets, and also some stale crackers, though you can pretty much feed triops anything organic. I used to have sea monkeys when i was really young but never saw them grow more than a week because i knocked them over (oops) anyway mum wouldn’t let me have more hehe
Many years later i’ve decided to give them ago, i looked around and saw triops aswell, Which should i get triops or sea monkeys?
