I want to put my triops into a slightly bigger tank when they are 2 weeks old, but I don’t have much sand to full the bottem of the big tank. I was wondering… If I was to put some sand into the corner of the tank, would my triops lay as many eggs in it?
Baring in mind: I want as many eggs as possible.
I would want to increase my chances as much as possible, just having the sand in one area may be they won’t like that either…just go get some more sand to play it safe.
hope this answer helps

Triops are almost blind. If you don’t have sand for them to dig through then they will swim around and the first triops they find they will eat. Buy more sand or you will end up wih one big fat triops. Triops are crusteceans and they are stupid so they won’t stay in the one spot and dig.
