I have just had triops and am now interested in other similar type of things that I can hatch for fun. I have heard of fairy shrimp but can not find them for sale anywhere online. I want something like that though.

Ya, sea monkeys are okay. But i think triops are better because they get waaay bigger and all sea monkeys do is swim back and forth. So if you want something that is less effort to care for then i would say sea monkeys, but if you want something that is a little harder to care for (not by much) but are more active and you can see better then i would just say stick with triops. You can dry out the tank they were in and fill it up and the eggs the last triops layed will hatch. You can also buy ghost shrimp from petstores but they dont get as big as sea monkeys.

Sea monkeys! Fun to watch. They sell them at Hobby Lobby, and Michael's, I think. =) The cost for a simple set is about ten bucks. They get more expensive with more elaborate tanks.

Yes, I would recommend Sea Monkeys.
You can buy all the parts on eBay, or buy a set.
They are a type of brine shrimp, but Sea Monkeys live longer, grow bigger, etc.
Good luck

You can get Aqua-Aliens in Australia and i think they send them all over the world. They are like a cross between triops and seamonkeys they are a type of clam shrimp. You can get them here at littleaussieproductsshop.com
They also have itsy bitsy sea dragons with sea snails. I think these are better than sea monkeys because you can keep snails with them.
