Triops? Tap water to bottled water? ?

Ok so my brother bought the classic pack of Triops and he got a fish bowl. He didn’t read the directions and put the eggs in tap water. I didn’t get asked to help him so idk if he used the conditioner bag or not but I can’t stand to see anything die because its been about 2 and a half days so I fished out about 20 and put them in another bowl with 3 bottles of bottled spring water. Will they hatch or are they done/dead? Plz help thank you!
Well I am using bottled water now! READ THE DESCRIPTION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  1. use bottle water or tap water conditioner

  2. If you did not dechlorinate the water, theyre likely gone already. In the future, use a good water conditioner like Seachem Prime to remove chlorine/chloramine from the tap water and you will be good to go.

  3. there is NO difference between bottled water and tap water, they both come from the same place, the local reservoir….

  4. I’m not sure if it’s too late, but they do need bottled water to live. So, wait and see. They may yet hatch. Maybe they were well enough sealed inside the eggs that the chlorine didn’t hurt them and they’ll hatch now into bottled water and be just fine.

And do NOT listen to the person saying bottled water and tap water are the same. He doesn’t know what he’s talking about. It’s true that sometimes bottled water is just tap water dechlorinated, but the key word is, DECHLORINATED. When it comes to raising fish (and triops), chlorine KILLS. Tap water is not the same as bottled water.
